I have linked examples of my best educational artifacts, resources, or tools that I believe could enhance each students' and teachers' experience in a classroom. I also provide a description of each resources' educational value so that other educators, administrators, or parents can see what is utilized in my classroom or what tools that they too might consider using.

Problem-Based Learning Lesson Plan

Problem-Based Learning is a critical component of education because it encourages collaboration among students, includes real-world application, and requires critical thinking. My lesson plan and additional resources work to enhance students' understanding of everyday engagement with literature. Because this lesson plan is differentiated and based on student autonomy, it both effectively educates students about literary devices and its efficiency leads them to think critically about what they read.

3 Week Unit Plan

This is a 3-week unit plan created for high school students exploring novels, specifically graphic narratives. Overall, this unit works to prepare students for real world experiences while helping them to critically think about how past experiences have shaped who we are today. This unit deals with complex issues that encourage interpersonal reflection, because of this, this unit allows students to write in both a reflective and critical way. This unit plan was created by myself alone and it includes a calendar pacing plan along with different types of assessments.

Nearpod: Internet Safety - Being Active Online

This is a great resource that has many additional assets such as polls, easy to insert web content, and fun activities! Nearpod not only effectively education students but it also engages students in typical lecture styled material. Nearpods are a great tool to enhance student participation and understanding by challenging them to critically think through open-ended or discussion questions. This badge is enforcing the idea of efficiently integrating multiple resources together.

Production Task: Book Trailer with Adobe Spark

The production task is a great way to creatively assess students understanding and engagement of differnt topics. The production badge encourages creativity, engagement, and critical thinking. The production could be of just about any creation; however, I have an example linked to a book movie trailer that was produced with Adobe Spark.  Having students create their own products enhances lesson within education because students gain more autonomy over their education. Showing students first-hand examples, as I have below, is a great way to efficiently and effectively show how a production badge can engage an audience.

This lesson can be used for 6-8 grade band on a CS lesson or it can be used as a PD opportunity for teachers. Therefore this lesson covers CS standards along with ISTE standards for educators. If in the lesson plan part of the description is in (parenthesis) it is because it is for the PD perspective of the lesson. This lesson also assumes that there have been previous lessons/instruction about equity as a definition and in relation to education.
